When The Sky Fell is an audiovisual installation made for Trekantsomraadets Festuge 2016 from 26/09 – 04/10. Located in a public space underneath a train bridge in the city of Kolding, Denmark.
The installation was placed under a train bridge on the main walking street of the city Kolding in Denmark. "When The Sky Fell" is trying to convey something dreamlike, entering into something different and out of this world.
It consisted of a big semi transluncent textile, that hovered up and down from the ceiling by the force of 12 motors. When you stepped into the installation you where surrounded by an interactive soundscape of a musical composition consisting of both prerecorded material, but also live recordings of the surrounding street and the rumbling from the train.
A video of the experienced can be seen underneath.
